The Ecological movement “Frame of life” has started implementing a project that initiates the formation of network for plant genetic resources in Serbia. The network should gather all actors in one place, to lead to connections in sectors, as well as intersectoral cooperation. This multi-stakeholder network would represent a basis for joint action, strengthening the capacity of each sector and more effective coordination of activities that are often complementary. Although public interest in plant genetic resources is growing, wider awareness of their importance is lacking. Local communities underutilize agrobiodiversity, which hinders their competitiveness in the market and limits agricultural income.
The first phase of project activities is carried out from September to November. During this period,
among other things, several online meetings and several events will be held.
